The Welcoming Association strongly supports the ‘Black Lives Matter’ campaign. As a voluntary organisation that works to support the BAME communities it stands in solidarity with those who fight for equality and social justice.
We would like to inform you that there is a peaceful protest to show Scotland’s support for ‘Black Lives Matter’, the action against racism and discrimination, this Sunday June 7th, 2020, at 1 pm at Holyrood Park Edinburgh.
The Welcoming strongly recommends to all of its staff, volunteers and participants who may wish to attend this protest, to do so following social distancing and to respect the health and safety of others at this event. Please note there are also similar events in Glasgow and Dundee.
