Befriending Week 2023 – Friendship Project Case Study

Celebrating 7 years of Welcoming a Greener Future
After a wonderful seven years, our Welcoming a Greener Future project came to an end on Thursday 31 March 2022. Since 2015 we have: Saved 701.5 tonnes Co2, held over 300 climate change activities, and engaged with over 2,000 people.

The Welcoming wins global climate prize at COP26 climate summit
Edinburgh charity The Welcoming has won the Ashden Award for Green Communities. The prize was announced at the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow, UK, at a ceremony attended by the President of Costa Rica Carlos Alvarado. The Ashden Awards honour
