Following the Scottish Government’s latest announcement to work from home, we are closing the office from Thursday 9th December 2021 until Monday 17th January 2022.

We are delighted to be reopening The Welcoming office on a limited basis and expanding our hybrid approach to classes and activities. This means continuing to offer our services online, while creating more opportunities to connect in person.
We are delighted to announce that three of our wonderful volunteers have won awards through Inspiring Volunteer Awards 2021. Our former Befriending Manager Life Raluy has also been commended for her work while she was with us.

As The Welcoming celebrates the 110th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8th), we reflect on women’s contributions and achievements in society today.
The Immediate Priorities Fund will provide Sainsbury’s shopping vouchers to The Welcoming Association service users who are currently unemployed, temporarily out of work or in a situation with precarious working conditions due to Covid-19.
