We’ll have a discussion entitled Gender in the Media as well, so it will be a busy event. Participants, volunteers and staff all welcome. Please come on time, and remember that every day is a good day to work for equality. We hope to see you there!
We are Recruiting Volunteers….Want to connect with new people and learn how to have meaningful conversations about what integration is and how we can celebrate and incorporate diversity in our communities? We do, and that’s why we are hosting a special weekend of activities in June 2019 where we will be playing a game called Go Deep.
It is a game open to any group that is interested in the future of a community. It is a like a journey, where groups of people are invited to try creative approaches that will allow them to explore issues around diversity in our communities and create collective actions and community transformations that are positive for all. This will be a chance for everyone from The Welcoming -participants, volunteers, friends and staff- to think of what challenges newcomers face when arriving to Scotland and most importantly, what we can do together to ensure Edinburgh is a welcoming place for all. To find out more about the game, pleaseclick here.
At the moment, we are recruiting volunteers with an Intermediate level of English or above that want to deepen their leadership and facilitation skills by being involved in the delivery of the game. We offer you full training and support, and in return you will develop new skills and learn more about how to work with groups, be a change maker and a compassionate leader in your community.
